Dr. Mike Titterton, M.A., M. Phil., Ph.D., Chair
Mike has acted as expert and consultant in international health, education and social welfare matters for WHO/EURO, European Union, DFID, Schools for Health in Europe, Health Scotland and many NGOs. In the UK he has acted as expert and consultant for universities, research councils, government departments, local authorities, health agencies and charities. Formerly he worked for the Scottish Health Service and Scottish Office, as well as for universities in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Latterly he worked as a project manager for health education and social care programmes in Russia, based in Moscow.
Ms. Helen Smart, D.A.,B.Sc., M.Sc.
Helen originally graduated from Edinburgh College of Art where she studied textile design. She has since gained extensive experience working in the Voluntary Sector with vulnerable adults and children, and in Higher Education delivering courses in Health Promotion and Public Health. She has worked with Mike over a number of years as an independent consultant and researcher. She is also active as an artist, specialising in landscape painting, selling and exhibiting her work in Edinburgh and elsewhere in Scotland.
David Rivett, Associate based in Copenhagen
From 1994 – 2006, David worked in the Child and Adolescent Health programme of WHO/EURO. He has also worked for WHO in the Philippines. He now provides consultancy and support for Schools for Health in Europe and Unicef.
Sheena Robertson, Associate based in Fife
Sheena is Team Leader of the Mental Health and Learning Disability Team for Fife Social Work Service and is well qualified, with many years’ experience of practice and research in adult care in Fife and Edinburgh.
Sadie Beauchamp, Associate based in Edinburgh
Sadie has many years of experience working with vulnerable children, young people and adults and has worked with a number of voluntary organisations in Edinburgh and Wales. She is also an accomplished photographer.

Trustees have a vital role to play in actively ensuring that our charitable organisation is well run, accountable and abides by charitable regulations and by our aims and ethos. Our trustees are:
Ms Dolly McCann, B.A, M.Sc., RGN, RHV
Dolly is a nurse lecturer and delivers multidisciplinary programmes incommunity and public health. She has professional and academic expertise related to public health nursing, health visiting and school nursing, with particular reference to families, parents, children and young people.
Dr. Cathy Benson, M.A., Ph.D.
Cathy is currently a course director and teacher at Edinburgh University's Institute for Applied Language Studies, which brings her into daily contact with people from all over the world. She also has a fair amount of research experience. Previously, she lived and worked in Spain, Portugal,Mexico and Germany, and speaks a number of languages.
Mr Roddy McLeod
Born in Glasgow to parents who hail from from the Island of Lewis hence the highland name! Current job is as a Contracts Manager for a medium sized company working in the electronics industry. Previously worked as a Youth Worker for a church charity. Married for over a quarter of a century (but married young!) and have a son (student) and daughter (student nurse). Hobbies include reading, gardening, following current affairs, supporting my local church and most sports including rugby, swimming, golf and football (although have lost a half yard of pace!)
Mr David Wright, M.A., ACMA
Dave graduated from Edinburgh University in 1978 and taught briefly in London before joining the civil service. He was posted to National Savings in Durham where he later qualified as a Charted Management Accountant. He has worked in large private sector financial services organisations and now works as an accountant in Children's Services for a major local authority in the North East of England. He lives in Durham and is married to Jane, a pharmacist; they have a son currently at art college and a daughter who is still at school. Dave regularly plays squash and enjoys hill walking, cycling, a wide range of music and keeping up with current affairs.
